PDF Reader++ App Reviews

I tried to use this to split up a large pdfs. The result is that it can’t work as it said. I think I wasted my money, I was looking for a pdf reader that could do all of things this program probably does quite well. In fact this is not a reader. You can not extract pages from a documents as you review it. I bought this hoping it would extract text zna all it did was save a blank text file. When I start to group different pdf, each pdfs starts loosing the pdf files that each pdf has. That’s a big trout, it makes all my pdfs files confusion. I have to put my files in order. So that I can find them easily. I am fighting with times everyday, itbmakes me waste a lot time. Now I have add other app to do the same work.

It does what I expect from a PDF Reader. It is unobtrusive, and quick to load and use. The recent versions of Adober Reader, in contrary, have a strange user interface and are questionable from a security view.

I just downloaded this application and I love it. I will use it to study for my masters degree and keep my version of ebooks with my notes in them. great app and runs light. super highly recommended.

It would be great to have a playback/talk slower options for the pdf to spoken. I feel like the narrator speaks too fast. Nonetheless, it’s a great app for school.

This app totally fits my needs. Very customisable and handy.

I tried to use a pdf and convert it to text all it did is crash. I ended up uninstalling it and moving on. Fix the ISSUE!!!!

I have been using this App for a total of 10 minutes. In the span of that ten minutes it has stopped responding and had to be force quit three separate times.

This app has several features I miss on preview, things that really postively impact my workflow. “Zoom to selection” is one of them… But it’s not well built, it crashes out of the blue, and lacks continuity in basic features such as customizing the toolbar and setting a specific view format as default. Once you quit the app, none of these things keep recorded… everytime you open it, you have to go ahead and re-configure it to your liking. =/

This is a great app it does everything it says it will do. The only drawback is having to remember to open the app first before opening a pdf file. Would have given it 5 stars if there was a way to make it the default pdf application for opening all pdf’s.

I’m still a big fan of Preview, but this app does do certain things well. For example, it converted a very long PDF document to text so quickly I thought it had failed - until I examined the file. If you do want to use it as your default PDF viewer, OS X makes that easy. Simply open the Get Info box on any PDF file, change the "Open with:” drop down to PDF Reader++, and then click on the “Change All…” button below that. You’re done. I couldn’t resist giving it a great review because it’s no fault of PDF Reader++ that it fails to provide an unnecessary alternate way of doing this.

It is a very good app to review pdf files and make notation and comments, but all the saved changes can’t be read by adobe reader.

The application works as stated. There is not lag like on the my MacBook Pro like when I use Adobe. We all know that Apple does not like to read Adobe. This is a great alternative.

This took the place of Adobe Reader after seeing how easy and simple it is. Have yet to try all its features, but so far so good.

This little gem exceeded my expectations! I have seen (and used) many PDF reader programs and this is the best!

Loads fast and does everything it is supposed to do. Flawlessly from what I can tell.

after using it for a week or so, i’ve been able to encouter a couple of annoying bugs - when on full screen mode, and you go click on full screen on the app, it will leave a big blank line on the top and makes scrolling annoying. - for some reason after opening a PDF on this app, and close it, when I try to open it again on OS X mavericks it tells me that can not be open because it is from an unidentified developer, and I have to do ctrl - click to open it. there are more bugs I’ve seen, and I’ll try to list them later.

I use a lot of commentary and reference books during my bible studies, 9 out of 10 times I’m using a PDF document. PDF Reader++ is a real improvement over the basic “Preview” app that comes with X, and is much cleaner and smoother than Adobe by far. For tasks like reading, highlighting and making notes, nothing really does the job as well. You get the smooth clean scrolling from Preview, and all the functionality from Adobe.
